Artist: The Aquabats

Album: Hi-Five Soup!

Release Date: January 18th, 2011

Since 1994, there has been one band that has never been afraid to wear superhero costumes, end every song title with an exclamation mark, sing songs about mythical creatures, zombies, magic and gobbledygook.

The Aquabats may not be the toughest band in the world and none of them even have any visible tattoos but good luck finding any band that puts on a more impressive (or more fun) performance. The band has undergone many lineup changes since 1994 and has ranged from 9 to 5 members but they have never lost sight of their original goal: always have fun and never take life too seriously.

The band is known for their ska-rock-synth style and wildly colorful yet PG-13 shows, which typically include staged superhero vs. villain battles, TONS of crowd participation and some top notch comedy. The Aquabats enjoy one of the most fiercely loyal fan bases that you'll ever come across and many fans dress up for their shows.

Hi-Five Soup! is the band's 6th studio album. It includes such insta-classics as: "The Shark fighter!, Poppin' A Wheelie! and Hey Homies." despite the fact that The Aquabats may not be edgy enough for some of your musical tastes, I guarantee that you will not find a more fun show on this planet. There's a reason why this band has maintained such a healthy and loyal following for almost two decades and the proof is in the pudding.
